Cape Verde. Since unusually severe drought devastated a large part of the harvest, Cabo Verde was affected by grasshopper swarms from the African mainland in August and September. The harsh Cabo Verde cannot even at best produce more than a small part of his food needs and was now forced to ask the outside world for extra help. The total population in Cabo Verde is 555,998 people in 2020. Morocco obeyed a plea for help against the grasshoppers and sent two spraying planes.
